Good afternoon Townsville you gorgeous city!

So it has officially been TWO WEEKS since we wrapped up our inaugural Carmichael Motors Mercedes-Benz Townsville Fashion Festival and the team have been recovering from the amazing weekend that was had by all!

We wish to express our gratitude to absolutely everyone that was involved including our wonderful sponsors, the dedicated core committee members, hair, makeup and photography teams and of course all of the beautiful models and volunteers! As well as anyone and everyone else who helped our festival to blossom in any way, shape or form. The weekend would not have been a success without the contribution of each and every one of you.

So here I am to give you all the inside scoop on the events of the weekend. Sorry to have kept you waiting! You must all have been itching to hear all about it!

Thursday night was when it all kicked off at at The Brewery with 'Lights, Camera, Action' brought to you by Escape Travel and it was a stunning night wherin guests mingled and models showcased some of the beautiful designs featured in our festival. The hair and makeup teams really brought their A-Game to this event with some artistry that would have made Lady GaGa do a double take.

We could not have asked for a more perfect start to the weekend than this evening of glamour and fun!

 

This night was then followed up by the incredible event that was Casey Dentists' 'The Runway'. A beautiful night that showcased all of the designers talent and brought a whole new level of fashion and elegance to Townsville at The Venue.

 

Aside from the breathtaking fashion display on the runway - which was an event in its own right - there were photobooths, croquet, platters of mouthwatering canapes, mini-bottles of Brown Brother's delicious wine, and the Flinders Cosmetics' Powder Room where guests were pampered by the professionals during intervals from the show.

So there you have it - that was the Friday night event - an evening filled with talent, creativity and glamour! Just one last day to go in our festival!

On Sunday we wrapped up Townsville's very first fashion festival and everything came together to allow our team to put North Queensland on the fashion map once and for all!

The free 'Alfresco Fashion on Flinders' event brought to you by Townsville City Council was blessed with lovely sunny weather and everyone who came down was treated to fashion parades throughout the day, a nice little pampering at the Flinders Cosmetics Pavilion and the opportunity to purchase designs that were showcased during the festival at quaint stalls set up around the main runway.

 



We wrapped up at about two o'clock that afternoon and after all of the packing up duties were done the team, along with a few exclusive ticket holders, had a fabulous night at the VIP Afterparty hosted by the Consortium.

All in all the weekend was an amazing success and we are looking forward to doing it all again next year! The TFF committee have worked tirelessly to bring this event to life and it feels amazing to have everything come together so beautifully.

It's a Fashionable Feast for the Senses!

Good afternoon Townsville!

Today is a gorgeous day and as I write this there are volunteers busily setting up at The Venue all around me and hair and makeup teams prepping all of our beautiful models at various locations across the city.

 

 

The designs have just arrived and everything is really starting to fall perfectly into place!

As you all know, we launched last night at The Brewery and the night was a massive successs! The Escape Travel photobooth was a hit with all of our stunning guests and models wowed everyone with stunning hair and makeup paired with gorgeous designs. Everyone involved really outdid themselves to come together and create a world class event to kick off our festival!

And now it's time for a fashion feast for the senses! I hope everyone is ready for tonight because it is all finally coming together to bring you a night that you will never forget! Townsville is about to experience a a fashion event like nothing we have ever seen before! It's all so exciting!!

The Action Kicks off TODAY!

Good morning Townsville and happy CMMB TFF Day!!

So.. it all kicks off tonight when Escape Travel presents Lights, Camera, Action! at the Brewery on Flinders St!! Doors open at 7pm so get your shoes shined, your dresses steamed and your tickets ready for a night of fashion and grandeur.

So so so SO exciting!!!

But with all the excitement of tonight let's not forget that TOMORROW Casey Dentists will present THE RUNWAY - an unbelievably exciting night of glamour and all things fashion. This night is like nothing that Townsville has ever seen before!

Think garden features, powder rooms, chocolate and cupcake bars PLUS a massive range of incredibly talented designers to be showcasing breathtaking pieces on the runway throughout the night.

Lights, Camera, Action in T-Minus 31 Hours!

I hope you all have your outfits perfectly planned and your tickets sorted because it is now just over 30 HOURS (yes, hours!) until Escape Travel presents  Lights, Camera, Action! An exclusive night of fashion and glamour to be accompanied by a delicious array of food and drink that is sure to get the tastebuds tingling.

We are in the very final stages now and I'm telling you Townsville, you are about to be wowed!

Doors open at 7pm at the Brewery on Flinders St and we have some fabulous entertainment ready to go! There will be models showcasing some of the stunning designs that will officially hit The Runway on Friday night, as well as a couple of other fun little treats for you all (photobooth, anyone?).

What to Wear to a Fashion Festival

HEY THERE!

So we are only two days out now guys and things are getting electrifying across the city! I can feel the fashion flair in the air. Such a buzz!!

I thought I would drop a little bit of style inspiration here for you all to have a peek at to get you set for the festivities to come. I know a  lot of people have been asking 'What do I wear to a fashion festival?'. Oh my goshhh. Have just spent the morning pouring over all the glam shots and video feeds from the Paris Fashion Week Runway which is happening across the globe in one of our favourite fashion and style hubs of the world! Some amazing designs and runway styling have been involved so far.

Also a clever little hashtagging initiative is giving us all an insight into the behind-the-scenes and a lot of inspiration as well!

Good afternoon all!

A quick post to let everyone know to keep their eyes peeled on the streets of Townsville in the coming weeks as you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of Carmichael Motors Mercedes-Benz's especially accessorised TFF cars! A few glammed up Mercedes Benz will be gliding through our streets in the lead up to the Carmichael Motors Mercedes-Benz Townsville Fashion Festival, which is just around the corner now - less than a month to go until it all kicks off!! How exciting!

So many other updates to come, but in the meantime get out and enjoy this stunning weather in your best spring/summer fashions as our gorgeous city starts to heat up!

Behind-the-Scenes: Flinders Cosmetics & Consultancy Postcard Shoot

Oh hi there!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to check in over the weekend as promised. The TFF have crew have been busy again with yet another postcard shoot and all other kinds of planning in the works!

But here I am with your very own little glimpse into the behind-the-scenes at Flinders Cosmetics & Consultancy for the most recent TFF postcard shoot - glam packed as usual.

 



Model Riana Dinsmore of RFT wore some stunning designs by Sharee on set, with incredible hair by Troy from Reds Salon (of course we would expect no less) and stunningly flawless makeup by Jasmin from Stelliani.

Accessories were provided by Paris Melbourne and set styling by Cindy Walker.

As you can see, there was no shortage of grandeur on set with some fabulous lighting set up by official photographer for the shoot, Matthew Gianoulis and fresh fruit galore!
