Making of a Fashion Festival - Caroline Bottrill

With the nature of volunteer work, it is essential our committee members wear a number of hats. Caroline Bottrill is the trendy lady behind the designer, event coordinator and sponsorship team. Having a passion for the region to prosper drives Caroline to help mould the fashion festival into a memorable experience for all.

Her positive nature and wisdom is the attitude that makes a community event thrive. See what makes her tick...

Fashion industry experience:

Wayne Cooper internationally, but growing to love lots of local designers and I am becoming exposed. I love Peta C and my daughter loves Make Amend and Miss Elsie's Wardrobe.

Why you live in Townsville:

We moved to Townsville initially for my husbands work but we have grown to love the region. We have amazing friends and our kids are fortunate to be at a great school and involved in many sports, which keeps us extremely busy. We love Sundays on the river enjoying water sports. The lifestyle really suits our family and I love it when friends and family from South come to visit and leave jealous of our lifestyles here in North Queensland.

2013 TFF Event I'm most looking forward to:

I can't really choose, I'm excited to see the amazing creations the hair and make up teams are putting together, can't wait to see the designers I am getting to know display their garments on the Friday night. I'm looking forward to bringing my family down to the Sunday Al Fresco Fashion on Flinders event.

With love, the TFF team.
