Making of a Fashion Festival - Suzanne Pilcher

Ever wondered who is the resident social media maven? One stylish lady works around the clock to ensure the Townsville Fashion Festival is posting all the right words and images.

Jumping from laptop, to iPhone to iPad, Suzie has all the right gadgets and skills to get the job done with speed and efficiency. Between attending university, working two jobs and running the social media channels for the fashion festival, being super organised is a must.

We get a glimpse behind the scenes of this busy girl's life...

Fashion industry experience:

I don't have a huge amount of fashion experience but have worked in retail for a couple of years and volunteered for TFF since early last year.

Favourite designer:

I love Australian labels, Shakuhachi and Finders Keepers, although they are generally a little out of my uni-student price range.

Style staple:

A nice black skirt and statement necklace never goes awry.

Why you live in Townsville:

I grew up in Townsville, but I love living here. Our tropical and relaxed lifestyle and being minutes from the beach is awesome. I'm really keen to see Townsville prosper with creative and progressive events like TFF because we live in such a beautiful part of the world - it could easily be a tropical paradise with an urban edge to it.

2013 TFF Event I’m most looking forward to:

Well I’m obviously excited for the whole weekend, but I’m really looking forward to the Cocktail Couture event on Thursday night – it’s going to deliver some breathtaking stuff.

With love, Tania Clarke, the TFF team.
